Diverse sources of inspiration such as folklore, mythology, humor, fantasy and everyday life are interwoven in my woodcuts. This intrigues me as an artist and invites the viewer to make his or her own connections based on personal experience Equally as important to me is the dialogue between the paint that already exists on the print and the cray-pas that I later apply to it by hand. This synthesis results in a new and unique entity.
